Summary
When Tommy dies, he expects to see Wilbur. Or Schlatt. Hell, even Mexican Dream. After all, that'd mean that there was at least an afterlife in the DreamSMP.
What he doesn't expect is to wake up to another world, one that his communicator tells him isn't exactly a server. He can't seem to find any other servers, this one doesn't have a whitelist, and... there's no admin. No Dream.
Instead, there are heroes. Heroes, villains, vigilantes, and civilians. There are powers called quirks, and they don't come from hybrid traits; they're natural. There's an entirely different society, one that doesn't have records of discs, mistakes, and the Blood God in its history for its base. There are schools that teach hero-wannabes who can soar to the top, and there are villains capable of flipping the world over its very roots.
There were no heroes in his past life. Tommy himself is far from one.
Yet maybe, in this life, he can at least try to be there for those who need it.

Chapter 18 has an AMAZING nightmare sequence
Nostalgia-turned-horrifying flashback.
Great to come back and reference if ever needed. Nightmare, fever dream, flashback, whatever. I loved it. It also came out of nowhere, so I either missed a chapter somehow or it was placed there specifically to mess with the reader, and I loved it. -

Following to... Well, to followSpoilers: Tommyinnit dying to Stain's stabbing is where we left off. His mum is the goddess of death herself, so he expects to get back to her. He has wings, his inventory, is supposed to be on his last life... But it's a new server, so who knows what the deal is with that. His compass is broken but he gave it to Toad-oroki to find Tubbo when he was gone.
That really was a shit diner location. -

I love this. Hoverboard racing, a fugitive, (spoilers) Wilbur being held hostage, Techno being unable to kill his friend (yet is the only one in a position to save Wil). Very cool, ended on a cliffhanger. :(

While obligatory, this series challenges a few pervasive narratives and hopes to rewrite foster aus as a concept through radical acceptance, diversity, and realistic healing.
Most people writing foster aus have no idea what they're doing. And tbf- that's okay. Most people aren't reading foster aus for accuracy. But as someone who is knowledgable about these systems and the trauma of foster care, I really wanted to see an au that tackled these concepts head on. So I did it myself.
Thus, encompass was born, a foster au that tackles topics such as
-disability
-neurodiversity
-queer identities
-self harm and recovery
-abuse cycles
-intersex identities
-how the foster system actually works
-guilt, shame, and pride

I'm bookmarking this series before I lose it. I THINK this is a fic I was looking for to reference a self-sabotaging character of my own. I remember reading a foster AU ages ago where Tommyinnit specifically self-sabotages and nearly gets Phil, of all people, to kick him out after hiding Will's meds among other things. Other foster kids cover for him. Quite a lot of issues with each kid, but that's the main one I'm hoping to find if this is what I think it is.
