“Listen,” Lucius says, “I just – he looked miserable, and I thought that he really seemed to need a hug or ten, and then – the poor sod never got hugged before, or in a very long time, or something!”
“That’s sad,” Roach remarks, everyone else nodding along – except for Jim, who’s just rolling their eyes at the ceiling.
“Aw, really?” Wee John asks. “That’s – wow. No wonder he’s this moody.”
Or: in which Lucius (who absolutely needs a raise or ten) and the rest of the crew make sure the one captain that's still on the ship gets enough TLC to tide him over until the other captain comes back from wherever he's run off to.

Carol has little use for Valentine’s Day. She and Therese both have to work today, and they agreed a week ago not to make a fuss about it, not to make plans. Carol rolls over, toward Therese’s side of the bed—and stops. There is a flower resting on the pillow.
This was supposed to go up yesterday, but it just wasn't finished in time. I realize that Valentine's Day is a monstrosity of capitalism and has very negative connotations for some of us, but the thought of two women celebrating it in the 1950s feels very subversive and beautiful to me. I hope you like it!

Summary
As a girl in her late twenties, I never thought I would find myself drawn to the characters and storyline of a show with "Teenage" in the title (Hey, titles are hard! I changed the title and I'm still not happy with it). So, I passed it by for many months as Netflix constantly placed in my peripheral. Last week, I finally sat down and watched it - all of it, in like, two days. You can imagine my disappointment when I discovered that the show had been prematurely cancelled shortly after airing last year (2020, you evil minx you).
As I am particularly annoying about finishing things that I feel need a proper ending, I (unwisely?) decided to take on Season 2 myself. I am not affiliated with Netflix or the WONDERFUL writers who gave us a fun filled first season about two sisters who, above all, love each other unconditionally. I am so sorry they didn't get the chance to finish their story. This is definitely a continuation of Season 1 of the show so here is your obligatory SPOILER ALERT.
