They kissed. Of course they kissed; that's how the story goes - lovers reunited after so long. They kiss.
Lucifer gathered her close and tried to let the distance between them fade away. Her mortal lifetime, the thousands upon thousands of his years in servitude in Hell, the promise, the abandonment - he kissed her, and tried to push it all aside.
They were together now, happy and in love. That was all that mattered. The sacrifice and suffering had been worth it.
The alternative was unthinkable.

Summary

Summary
In season 3, episode 21, "Anything Pierce Can Do, I Can Do Better," both Lucifer Morningstar and Marcus Pierce rush to Chloe Decker's apartment for one last attempt to win her back.
Pierce arrives first, and Lucifer can only watch through a window as Pierce proposes and Chloe accepts.
Unless ... Lucifer got there first? And had a chance to say a few important things before the other man barged in?
He's promised to tell Chloe the truth. How will she handle celestial revelations, a jackass of an ex, too much coffee, not enough sleep, and Pierce's secrets and lies? (Probably with Maze's tequila.)

Summary
So he had to admit that he fucked up.
He was a big enough Devil to look in the mirror (or attempt to, at least, since currently seeing multiples of everything was a rather large problem) and admit that MAYBE his ego got the better of him.
His problem is he keeps underestimating these silly humans, and he no longer has the same strength of power he had before. He’s no wimp by any means, but a decade ago at the earliest he’d have never even found himself in this mess.
Granted, a decade ago he was probably sitting in his throne room roasting disloyal demons that were annoying him and plotting his next escape topside on earth. And isn’t that a hilarious thought at such a time.
