Summary
"A name can be honored, a name can be feared—but never both."
Severus Snape never expected to wake up again. And certainly not in Prince Manor.
Death should have been easy. After the Marauders’ full moon prank, after the betrayal of the only friend who ever mattered, after years of knowing he would never truly belong—Severus saw only one way out. But fate, or perhaps blood, drags him back.
He awakens in Prince Manor, surrounded by a family that has never acknowledged him, faced with a name that has never been his to claim. They offer him something he has never had before: recognition, power, and a place among the elite. But everything comes at a cost.
As he is taught the art of pureblood politics, Severus realizes survival is not about strength alone—it is about control. Control of his words, his emotions, his loyalties. Control of who he must become to never be weak again. But the more he learns to play the game, the more he wonders if he is losing himself in it.
The Dark Lord’s war is coming, and Severus is running out of time. To be forgotten is to be powerless. To be remembered is to be hated, feared… or worse, owned.
If his name must be spoken, let it be hallowed. But at what price?

Summary
A second goes by in which Harry shifts from foot to foot, uneasy at the way Draco just stares at him. “What?” He asks defensively.
“You fucking named the poor child Artie. After artifact. What an arsehole, Potter. Couldn’t you give him a real name?”
“What do you mean, a real name? Artie is a real name! And he’s not real anyway, so why do you care? What does it matter?”
Draco heaves a great sigh and pats Artie on the back. “It’s okay Artie, ignore your idiot Papa over there. I’ll take care of you.”
Harry splutters indignantly at the insult. It was literally an artifact! Why did it need a real name? And he wasn’t its Papa! He’d only had it for three bloody, sleepless days.

Summary
The First Wizarding War is escalating, and Severus Snape has made his choice: he won’t join the Death Eaters. But freedom comes with consequences—secrets, scars, and voices he can't silence. When the Order takes him in, it's Sirius Black—brash, loyal, and infuriatingly sincere—who ends up offering him a place to land.
Bound by shared history and mutual distrust, Severus and Sirius find something unexpected in each other: understanding, comfort, the flicker of something gentler than survival. As the war deepens and the lines blur between duty and desire, their connection becomes harder to deny—and even harder to protect.
