Summary
Tim Drake leads a...mostly normal life, helping people get the best insurance they can afford. Soon though, he finds himself embroiled in a plot that involves Robin trying to take him down, and Batgirl possibly helping. Add to the mix Red Hood using him for information, and a strange young man walking into his office under false pretenses, Tim finds that his mostly normal life is about to completely change.
Tim knew there were worse jobs in Gotham than insurance agent, but he’s hard pressed to think of another at the moment. As he shoots off an email to a client about looking into their claim asap, he hears the glass door to the small insurance office open and watches Stephanie Brown,the goddamn Batgirl, walk into the agency and catch his eye. He puts 'masked vigilante' at the top of the list.

Tim rolls bloodshot eyes, but smiles, seeming amused. “I love you Dick, but we all know I’m not really a Wayne. If anything, I’m a distant cousin at best. Not exactly close enough to be a part of family dinners.”
He says it casually, without an ounce of the bitterness or contempt one would expect from such a statement. As if it's a fact of the world that Dick should obviously be aware of.
He even has the audacity to then take a sip of his coffee while laughing at a tiny dog walking into a pole across the street.
What the fuck.
(Or, the Batfam becomes increasingly aware of the disconnect between Tim and them. Everyone panics.
Well, everyone except Tim. He’s just wondering why no one will let him finish his goddamn coffee.)

That sounded a little silly when said in plain letters like that. But he couldn’t. The first time he heard that sentence Tim was four years old and clinging to the hem of his mothers dress. In a rare showing of maternal instinct she’d crouched down to brush his hair back from his forehead. Her fingers left stinging red lines in their wake against his pale skin. She’d smiled at him with their shared frigid eyes and cooed- for his hearing only- ‘you can’t die Timothy. You’re not allowed.’
To bad his newfound obsession with Batman and Robin was so bad for his health.

Better yet, how had no one seen the large platforms being moved out of the tent?"

When the trapeze equipment is inexplicably stolen the day before the first performance of Haly’s Circus in Gotham, the members rush to build a makeshift setup that is fairly stable, albeit lower to the ground than it usually is. Therefore, when Zucco sabotages the gear, John and Mary Grayson don’t make an orphan out of their son.
