God Valley Divergence, MANGA SPOILERS.
Shamrock's role within the Freedom Fighters was acting as something of a secretary for his dad, taking notes, keeping track of their schedule, that sort of thing. But because they went up against the government, his dad was always scared that someone would discover the link between them and target Shamrock to try and make his dad give up on his goals. Already, the local armies of the countries they led protests in sometimes shot at them.

Dragon was there when Outlook III tried to take Sabo back.
He was there and wouldn't have it that some thugs held a gun to his son's head, even less so when they did it to the other children too. He wouldn't stand for it, and dealt with it in a way only a revolutionary can.
Garp showed he didn't look out for the boys at all, better take them back to Baltigo and raise them himself.

Summary
For a while, this is as close as they get to any sort of argument: Zoro growling at him like a rabid dog, deadlocked into a staring contest that Mihawk, for the first time, might actually lose.
Perona finally breaks the silence. "Urgh! I've had it with you--emotionally constipated sword freaks!" she fumes with a petulant stomp of her cherry boots. "Fine! If you two won’t talk about it, then I’ll do it for you!" She extends her hands. "Negative Hollow!"
Twin translucent specters erupt from her palms. Mihawk effortlessly swats away the pest -- but Zoro, only halfway to his mastery of haki and ambushed from his freshly-carved blind spot, is not quite so fortunate.
Zoro crumples to his hands and knees. “I don't deserve to have you as my father.”
Perona gasps. Zoro petrifies, and Mihawk thinks, distantly, that this is what it would feel like to take a sword to the chest.
“As your what?”
