When Prince Lloyd Garmadon of Hyrule, central kingdom of Ninjago, wakes up half-naked in a cave with no memories and an old man telepathically driving him crazy with riddles, he’s done with the whole mess before he’s even started.
Which of course means that he’s the prophesied Hero of Destiny, and has to go on a cross-continental quest to save the world from the Overlord, a Deity of pure evil even the God of Time (his grandfather???) couldn’t defeat.
From freeing Divine Beasts, communing with the dead, unlocking secrets about himself he never would have dreamed of, and rediscovering his family, Lloyd has a lot to do, and all on a time limit.
And he still has amnesia. Great.

Summary
Technically, the lot Brad Tudabone lives on is part of a protected 'dark sky' reserve dedicated to keeping light pollution low and the night sky perfectly visible to the naked human eye. Maybe that's why he can see, with perfect clarity, what is definitely not a meteor crashing down from outer space and directly into his backyard. Where he expects to find experimental government technology gone awry, or at the very least an abnormally large rock, he instead finds a futuristic pod holding a living- well. What's the difference between a person and an insect, again? It's the arms, right? Well, this guy has too damn many.

Lloyd Garmadon, ancestor of the First Realm planet and protector of his home planet Ninjago, has no recollection of being stuffed in a cryo-chamber and whisked off into the void of outer space. All he has is a faulty translator and a small database downloaded in his wrist tech. If he's to survive this foreign world, he'll need both his wits and the help of the native organism Brad Tudabone in order to fix his tech and build an SOS beacon. One glaring problem: he doesn't really want to leave.

Brad Tudabone has worked as a gardener for the Lord of Two Moon Village for three months, and only sticks around for the mystery of the mansion's Lady; a mysterious woman who never speaks, and never takes the veil from her eyes. Everything changes when he begins to form a bond with the Lady, secretly a boy his own age named Lloyd.
Lloyd Garmadon has been trapped in a cold mansion for nearly five years, kidnapped years ago when his pelt was stolen during a drunken haze. He's long since given up returning to his life under the sea, until the new gardener saves his life. As he forms a bond with Brad, he begins to think he may escape.
Together, the two hatch a plan to steal back Lloyd's Selkie pelt before the spring equinox and send him home before he's forced into marriage.

Varian has to hide a bubbling laugh behind his drink. “I’m sorry,” Varian giggles, not very sorry, “your last name is *Loverman*?”
Daniel deflates, laughing a little. “Yeah, well, your name is Varian. I wouldn’t call that normal for someone of Corona.”
Varian sighs. “I should go make sure Keira hasn’t killed anyone. Hold my drink?”
A strange look takes over Daniel’s features. His eyes look hooded, hungry almost, his cheeks burning a light pink, and it makes Varian shift under his gaze uncomfortably. It burns in his gut with wrong, and he wants nothing more than to run away, to call Rapunzel. But then Daniel grins, all light and easy-going, and Varian relaxes.
“Of course."
He misses the oily, wolfish, downright predatory grin that takes over Daniel’s features, his eyes glinting dangerously.
He misses Daniel drop a small pill into his drink and swirl his finger in the water as it dissipates.
