Summary

Endeavor’s shoulders are broad, much more than his own, but also heavy - they do carry the weight of the country after all.
But even then, Hawks knows Endeavor can’t compare to All Might. Well, nobody can, not even Toshinori Yagi himself can fill All Might’s shoes anymore. How could Endeavor ever be expected to?
And yet, Hawks believes in him. Maybe, just maybe, if he spreads his wings over Endeavor’s back, their shadow will be wide enough for people to feel at ease.

Levi aggrotta le sopracciglia. « Aspettare... cosa? »
Erwin solleva le spalle. Non gli si addice, è un movimento in totale disarmonia col suo corpo adulto. « Un motivo per portare pazienza. Una ragione per perseverare nel raggiungere il mio obiettivo. »
Segue una pausa lunga, durante il quale non fanno che guardarsi in volto. Levi non sa cosa Erwin stia leggendo nella sua espressione vacua, nel suo silenzio; dal canto suo, ciò che legge è una storia di attesa e sacrifici, di rimpianti, di perdita. È la storia di Erwin. Il fatto che si debba sforzare per attendere ulteriormente ciò che gli spetterebbe di diritto lo fa infuriare, ma non conosce la maniera adatta per esprimere quel sentimento.
« E l’hai trovato, quel motivo? », gli domanda, in un filo di voce. Le labbra di Erwin si tendono in un sorriso paziente.
