People keep coming up to Kaveh to congratulate him. Kaveh doesn’t really know why, and he’s a little too scared to ask at this point, so he heads back home, content if not a little bemused.
He is, unfortunately, reminded of it the very next day, when the door slams open and Al-Haitham stalks in. “Mind telling me why everyone was congratulating me today?” he demands. “About your pregnancy?"
Or: Al-Haitham is, without a doubt, the most annoying person Kaveh knows. Maybe the world’s second-most annoying person can help Kaveh figure him out.

He tugs, pulling Luo Binghe’s head back to look down at him. “Not when you know that this one loves you.”“Shizun!” Their exchange makes sense and it doesn’t. Luo Binghe is too warm to care; it feels like there’s a laugh coursing through his body.
“Shizun this, shizun that,” Shen Qingqiu drops his hands, and chooses to loop his arms around Luo Binghe’s shoulders instead. “What happened to you always crying because you want to call me husband?”

Kaveh turns and looks at the book he’d been staring at for five minutes, before clearing his throat and speaking nonchalantly.
“Oh this one? It’s just—“
Kaveh squints and reads slowly, “Dick Fight Island…” his faces explodes in a fury of heat as he tries to comprehend what he just said, all while the mysterious man snickers into his hand trying not to laugh.
“Really,” the man says in disbelief. “Is it good?” He teases making Kaveh regret all his life choices leading up to this moment.

Kaveh visits a newly opened bookstore near his apartment in hopes he’ll find an interesting read, only to find out he’s more interested in the silver haired man he finds flipping through pages, a hint of curiosity swirled in his green eyes that almost seem to sparkle. Kaveh can’t look away.

Then, he straightens up to his full height and turns his gaze to look at Xie Lian, his pupil almost swallowed up by the possessiveness that Xie Lian secretly loves and craves. “Gege likes to be called wife, doesn’t he?”
It’s as if his feet and his entire soul were glued to the floor when Hua Cheng finishes his sentence. He can’t move, paralysed, and he can only watch with bated breath and pounding heart as Hua Cheng leans forward, their lips touching.
“My beautiful, pretty wife.”
