just as she gave up hope, azula started at the earsplitting beat of a drum. the rest of the acrobats seemingly flew around their posts, and a trio of ribbons fell from the ceiling, descending in liquid tendrils that excited azula to no end. a figure descended in the same way, clinging to the ribbons as her sheer clothes flowed around her like clouds. even from so far away azula knew who it was, the girl whose image had captivated her so thoroughly, who captivated the whole audience as she flipped from ribbon to ribbon with all the grace in the world.
