Yun's recovery from her injuries sustained on Ravenhill is not going well. Things take a turn for the worse when she begins to suffer from seizures. Unwilling to become a burden to Thorin, who is all but overwhelmed by his work and duty as King under the Mountain to rebuild Erebor, she secretly takes her leave of the kingdom for Rivendell in the hopes that Lord Elrond may be able to cure her.
As she travels, Yun must also decide whether she should sit back and let the War of the Ring take its course or make use of her "knowledge" and somehow begin the quest to destroy the One Ring before Sauron regains power.
