Toya was the type of person to answer you with silence. A lift of his lips, a blink of his eyes, a wave of his hand. Most of the time Akito understood. Sometimes, he didn't. Those types of answers annoyed him, but not because of Toya, but because he liked to believe he knew his partner down to the bone. Maybe even literally.
Akito's boyfriend is a cold, bitter person with a sweet aftertaste and warm undertones. Akito doesn't like bitter things and has always been more of a fan of sweets, but for Toya he tolerates it, likes it even. Because it's always worth the airy, liquid red sweetness he tastes in the end. Toya likes using Akito.

Her pink scissors are placed haphazardly on the counter and she notices his hair looks shorter in some places, she’s never seen the outfit he’s wearing either. He looks different and it’s a harsh reminder of all the places she should’ve been better. He’s tall and sort of smaller than she remembered too and she wondered if maybe it was all just a mistake. Maybe he was taking a bath or rinsing his hair to dye it and the blow dryer fell in and malfunctioned, turning itself on. Maybe he had just forgotten to take off his clothes when he was climbing into the bath entirely. Her knuckles were red and white when she looked down, they had been for a while actually she just didn’t care. She wishes he had someone to talk to. She wishes there was just one person out of eight billion for her little brother, because there must have been at least one. Maybe she would be some random girl he bumped into in a grocery store or maybe a tall silver-eyed boy. She didn’t know and she didn’t care who it ended up being, she just wished Akito had met somebody he could have to himself faster. Maybe it should have been her, his big sister.
