Being on the road with Rapunzel as she journeys to the Dark Kingdom has been rather rough on Eugene, who hasn't been able to devour the willing Princess much, if at all, during the course of the adventure. Unfortunately, because of this, he grows dangerously close to starvation. Realizing this, Rapunzel makes sure that he gets the meal that he so desperately needs, despite the protests of some other members of the caravan. She refuses to let the love of her life starve to death, no matter what—not when she knows she can easily do something about it.
(In this AU, Rapunzel's hair never needed to be cut, so she still has her healing powers available to her. And also, Eugene has sharp teeth and has to eat people to survive. More explanation on the AU inside, if you're interested~)

Summary
Eugene has always known he is unworthy of Rapunzel’s love but he would do anything to protect his new dream. So when a seemingly friendly ghost in the House of Yesterday’s Tomorrow warns him that taking the Moonstone will destroy Rapunzel, Eugene doesn’t hesitate to grab the opal before she gets a chance.
Now Prince Eugene, the true heir of the Dark Kingdom, has a new goal: with the help of this strange ghost, he is going to make his kingdom into the most powerful in all the Seven Kingdoms and finally be worthy enough for his princess. But before all that, he has to learn to control the black rocks. And there is only one person in the whole world who can tell him how to do it.
Meanwhile, confused and heartbroken Rapunzel travels back to Corona. Adira informs her that the key to saving Eugene lies in the Demanitus’ Scroll, and to translate that, she needs to turn to the old enemy.
What about Cass? Well, Cass just wants the lovebirds to stop fighting.
