The Divine Dragon is too busy as of late to play with Sommie. Not wanting to leave the Somniel Guardian feeling lonely, a rotation is made so everyone in the army gets a day to babysit Sommie.

One-shots of Sommie getting up to hijinks and shenanigans with every playable character in Engage. 300-400~ words per chapter.

Even if it's early on at the time of me reccing this, I think it's easy for me to say why I like it so much and why I've been looking forward to its updates; It's just really adorable seeing Sommie with everyone, and seeing things through his eyes. That, and it's always fun to see just who Sommie will interact with next and what they'll do together. I'd 100% recommend it!

Yeah, I don't have anything witty or profound to say here. This fic's just straight up adorable.

Without spoiling too much, this is one of the best fics I read for ScaVio so far. It's a really good look into Arven's inner psyche before, during and after the events, and it goes from sad to really heartwarming, with the interactions with his new friends/found family. A longer read, yeah, but I fully recommend it.

I don't have anything profound to say like with the bookmarks I usually do. Just watching Iono and Raihan being absolute dorks together was an absolutely cute and hilarious treat.

That, and the joke about a certain group of pink gremlins terrorizing Corviknight got a chuckle out of me. Good on ya, mate.

They call it the 'Scouring', the Great War between humans and dragons. I laugh and laugh at how grand they make it sound. It wasn't anything like that. It was a damn tragedy, with the eight heroes as the pawns. There were tears and blood, and lots of pain I wish I never experienced. My name is Hilda, Master Thief, friend to the Eight Heroes of Legend, and this is our bloody legacy.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Stories such as this, or her various novelizations (And especially the Elibe saga and her writings on Jugdral) are why katriona_subasa (Or Naryfiel Lilith as I know her on FF.Net) is one of my favorite fic authors for Fire Emblem. This story in particular, well, it does something that I haven't seen a lot of in the fandom, to be honest; Taking an event that mainly serves as a background story for the world (Mainly the Scouring) and making it into a full story. Mainly how she actually gives previously historical figures their own personalities, stories, loved ones, and fleshes out the conflict of the Scouring as a whole. Not to mention that, yeah, the OCs (And in a few cases outside of this story in particular, her own interpretation of "canon" avatars) she uses as as her PoV characters fit really well into the world, and Hilda is no exception.

I'm not sure what else to add to this/put any of my other thoughts about this story in particular into words (At least without spoiling anything), but in a nutshell? This story is now my personal headcanon for the Scouring. For the war itself, for the Eight Legends, and a few other characters, and some other aspects, like Elibe's legendary weapons. I'd definitely recommend giving this a read-through.
