Summary
By the time Xie Lian comes to, there's only one thing he can focus on.
It's not how the freezing water that sends shivers down his spine or soaks into his aching bones. It's not the screams around him or the pressure from his soaking clothes or hair. It's not the thundering booms of the lightning or the sloshing of water against the side of the ship.
It's the scalding warmth of Hua Chengs lips on his own. Heavy, and hot, and oh so warm.
One hand holds him by the neck while the other rests on his cheeks, keeping him there in place. As if he's afraid Xie Lian will leave.

Summary
Xie Lian's had his entire life planned for by others. He's swallowed down any of his own wants and needs until they ceased to exist, giving in to circumstance and coming to accept never having a say of his own. Completing ten years at Divine Arts, he's long turned into nothing a but any empty shell.
Hua Cheng is a rising star, the main vocalist of Calamities, and a prolific soloist. With companies eager as they vie at a chance to collaborate, it's inevitable for their paths to cross.
Perhaps this stroke of blazing crimson, can revive a flower long withered.

Summary
“Don’t mess this up”, his father quibbled, his lips set in a thin line. The Alpha’s scent sharpened just enough for Xie Lian to notice.
He did not respond, only nodded. He knew better than to mess anything up now.
“Do you remember your vows?”
Xie Lian nodded again, suddenly becoming aware of the weight of the thin piece of folded paper sitting snugly in his pockets. At the back of his mind, he vaguely remembered reading through the vows. Whether any of it had truly sunk in, he couldn’t say. Still, he remembered the words, and that would have to do.
“Good”, his father said, with a hint of self-satisfaction.
“Good,” Xie Lian repeated to himself. The word felt like lead in his mouth.
