Diluc falls to his side, curling his knees up to his chest. “You could have lived, and here I am instead, wasting everything you gave me. I don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t know what you’d want me to do.” His breath hitches, and another wave of tears rolls down his face. “I’m all alone.”

Suffocating under the weight of grief and feeling disconnected and lost, Diluc's passive suicidal ideation starts to develop into something more concrete. He's struggling with his father's death, what happened to him during his time away, and the damage he's done to his relationship with Kaeya. Forgiving himself seems impossible, and it's getting harder and harder for him to get out of bed every morning.
Meanwhile, Kaeya just wants his brother back, Adelinde wants Diluc to stop running headfirst into danger, and Jean wants her childhood friend to smile again, and they - along with some new friends Diluc makes along the way - are determined to show Diluc how loved he truly is.

But Tony isn't ready trust, neither is his new protegee Spiderman. The fractured team can't seem to come together. It's a good thing then that Danny Phantom is ready to save the day. That doesn't mean anyone is prepared for when he keeps showing up.

Summary
Inspired by the various renditions of Swan Lake, and Kaeya's voiceline about 'the owl of Dragonspine'.
It's been four years since Diluc left Mondstadt to hunt down the Fatui, and one year since he returned. The only problem is, no one knows he is there save for the Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius.
After rescuing Diluc from death at the hands of the Harbingers, Alice tasks him with reconciling with his brother as payment. To ensure that Diluc remains motivated towards the task at hand and will not be tempted to run away from his problems, she places a spell on him, transforming him into an owl, and only allowing him to become human again at night while in the city walls. With some necessary assistance from Albedo, that is. But Diluc is stubborn, and rather than face his brother, he chooses to live as a vigilante by night, protecting the city in his own way while still avoiding his past. He cannot keep this up forever though, and soon he is forced to make a choice. Confront the consequences of his actions, or loose himself to the curse entirely.Bookmarked by BookWyrmGal
