Buck dragged a hand down his face, "I guess I was just excited to spend the rest of the week with you, I must have missed it."
Eddie scoffs, moving further into the room, "yeah, clearly."
Buck was silent for a moment behind him, before speaking again, "Eddie I am so sorry, I get it if this makes you uncomfortable, we can just leave—"
“Buck," Eddie says cutting him off, "it’s fine. Who knows, it might even be fun. Let’s just make the most of it."
OR
Buck booked a four day camping retreat for him and Eddie, not realizing it was meant for couples. They decide to pretend, just for the trip.

Eddie was an idiot. That was the only real explanation for any of this.
He had been an idiot for years, actually, which was probably the worst part of it. Because he’d had years to piece together the obviousness of it all, and yet he had somehow managed to miss every second of it.
The problem was, there were a few distinct moments leading up to his predicament that particularly stood out. Moments where he should have known. Should have seen.
There’d been a litany of times he should have realised.
And yet, it was this.
It was Eddie watching Buck dance with Tommy that clicked it into perspective in his mind.
Buck — loyal, vivacious, hard-headed, stubborn, reckless, brave Buck — wanted Eddie’s friend. And Eddie wanted to be happy for them. He really wanted to be happy for them. He’d wanted to be happy when Buck first told him. He’d told himself he was happy. But he wasn’t.

Summary
Eddie really liked Tommy.
If asked, he could give a long list of reasons why.
Tommy was an army guy, like Eddie himself, they had a lot of shared experiences.
Tommy was witty, he always had a one liner ready to throw out.
Tommy was into MMA, and muay thai, and he could fly Eddie to games.
Tommy would play pickup with him even when Buck always said no.
Tommy was good with Christopher. He had an easy charm with Eddie’s preteen son, and he had lots of stories that Christopher couldn’t quite get enough of.
And, the most important reason, Tommy had been a huge part of the reason Athena and Bobby had survived.
The problem was… Eddie kind of couldn’t fucking stand Tommy.
OR -
Eddie goes through the stages of grief watching Buck and Tommy together and gets progressively more unhinged as his jealousy builds. No bashing of Marisol or Tommy in this, they're just not right for Eddie and Buck.
