Peter has a panic attack during a sparring session, the Tower gets invaded, and Steve and Natasha finally get a glimpse at the guilt Peter's been carrying with him caused by past torture that he'd very much like to forget, thank you. Easier said than done when someone from Spiderman's past comes knocking.
“What did you just say?” Tony repeats, darting around Peter to stand beside Natasha. “Did Steve just say you’re using us to punish yourself?”“That’s not, umm, that’s not exactly what he meant by—”
“Are you,” Tony enunciates each individual word, “using us to punish yourself.”

Summary
Sam, Dean, and Cas run into trouble fighting a witch. She's injected Dean with a truth serum, causing him to speak whatever comes to mind. The serum will only stop if Dean spills his deepest fear. Turns out he’s got a lot of abandonment and inadequacy issues, and Sam and Cas desperately try to tape him back together in the aftermath without making everything worse.
“That’s your deepest fear? For real?” Sam sounds like he can hardly believe it. “It’s not flying, or a beer shortage or something?”
Dean’s glad Sam hasn’t noticed the shift in Dean’s behavior recently. His extra clinginess, the way Dean’s been following them around like a lost dog since he got back from Hell. He refused to be in any room but theirs at the bunker, always keeping them within his line of sight, even during hunts.
Cas’ reprimanding, “Dean,” shakes him from his train of thought. Cas looks like a stern father, his brows furrowed and eyes full of disappointment. “That’s a stupid thing to fear.”

“It’s okay,” Peter promises them softly. “I get it. I wouldn’t want me as a teammate either. It’s okay, I know what you need to do. I get it.”
Natasha’s eyes narrow, and she asks him, “And what do you think we need to do, Peter?” like it’s a threat. Like if he says the wrong thing, she’ll pounce. But he knows the answer to this question and god, they’re going to make him spell it out for them, aren’t they?
“You need to kick me off the team.”
Essentially, none of the Avengers honestly believe Peter when he tells them that no, he really isn’t anorexic and to trust him—he’s just very busy and doesn’t have the spare time or money to eat enough, it’s most certainly not on purpose and they most definitely do not need to kick him off the team because of it.
