Summary
At first, he doesn’t think it’s Crowley at all. But then, his stomach twinges, and a wave of palpable distress surges, makes Aziraphale look again, and— it is Crowley. His hair is so wet that it almost looks charcoal rather than his usual vibrant red.
Aziraphale stands. “Crowley?”
It is quite clear that Crowley doesn’t want to be spotted at all. His shoulders hunch inwards, like he is instinctively defending himself, before he straightens up. The bravado is painfully thin. He raises his hand, and gives a weak, quickly aborted wave, but not quick enough to hide its trembling.

Summary
Grumbling, Crowley decided to finish preparing the pot as quick as he could before heading back inside. It seemed he got a few minutes worth of respite in between the pains, so hopefully he could make it back to the cottage before the next one. Hell, he'd have to explain it to Aziraphale, though. The angel was sure to notice if he kept stiffening up with each wave of discomfort, especially if it kept getting worse. And he'd fret even more when it turned out he couldn't explain what was happening to his body.
Crowley sighed, finished filling the pot, and cleared his stuff away. He gave the plants one last warning that: “Nobody bloody dies over a bit of heat, you hear me?” Then made his way back to the cottage, thinking that if it wasn't such a bloody hot day, he'd have drawn himself a bath to try and relax his muscles a bit. He was fairly sure that was it. Just overdone it a bit with dragging heavy pots around. Sore, crampy muscles were a logical follow-up from that.

Or: despite his previous sidegigs as a midwife, Crowley is surprisingly clueless when it comes to adding up his own body's quirks. Until he and Aziraphale have to face facts.

Summary
Crowley’s expression puts Aziraphale in mind of natural disasters, of wars and kingdoms put to torch, floods and plagues and children drowning. The demon might as well be desolation itself, given blood and bone and a suit to wear, a bleak, yawning absence where there should be a wily, mischievous good nature.
Even the day the world was scheduled to end, when Crowley holed himself up in a little bar and wept himself sick among bottles and bottles of clear spirits, wasn’t as bad as this. Nothing could be as bad as a corpse.
“Crowley!” Aziraphale sobs, pushing himself forward. The barrier is hot against his palms, on the cusp of burning, and still he pushes forward. “I’m right here, Crowley, I’m here! I haven’t left you, sweetheart.”

“Where are you hurt, Crowley?” Aziraphale asked, his voice no-nonsense and to-the-point. Crowley frowned lopsidedly, looking almost pouting. He was still wobbling, even lying down, and his lips were trembling as he spoke in a feeble voice.
“I’m . . . nnnn . . . m’not.”
Aziraphale sighed exasperatedly, crossing his arms over his chest and casting a disapproving eye down to the clearly-in-a-lot-of-pain demon.
Aziraphale comes to Crowley's aid when the latter is attacked and left beaten by demons, and the angel takes care of him while he's too weak to do it himself. Very unapologetic whump and BAMF Aziraphale.

“It’s going to snow today,” Crowley announces.
He doesn’t move as bare feet pad across the hardwood floor. It’s not until Aziraphale rests his chin on Crowley’s shoulder that he finally moves, sighing out some of the tension that’s been plaguing him since he dragged himself out of bed half an hour ago.
“I’ll help you in the garden,” Aziraphale murmurs, so softly next to Crowley’s ear. “I know you still have some plants you need to get under covers.”
Crowley hears the offer for what it is: love. Plain and simple love. The kind he’s still surprised to receive, day after day, from the most beautiful angel in the entire universe. But it’s – he’s been working on it, on accepting Aziraphale’s love for the uncomplicated, unconditional thing that it is, and so he turns his head to the side. Presses his lips to the soft, warm skin of Aziraphale’s neck, just above the rumpled collar of his silk pajamas. And he thinks, just for a moment, maybe it’s okay to let him take care of me today.
(The first frost of the year always makes Crowley lethargic and his head fuzzy. Aziraphale helps him cope, and the two of them revel in the love of their new life together.)

There’s a knock at the door.
Crowley pauses. Heaven is polite; they’d give him a chance, or at least the pretense of a chance, before outright incinerating him. Maybe some bargaining, or an attempt at manipulation. But, knocking?
He opens the door.
“Crowley,” Aziraphale whispers.
He closes the door.
It’s not – this can’t actually be happening. It’s been three days. Is that really what Crowley is worth to Aziraphale – that it takes three entire days before he realizes that he’s made a mistake and wants to come crawling back?
Aziraphale realizes he's made a mistake, and comes to make amends to Crowley.
