Constance was very considerably a woman who enjoyed a crowd, but this… This was out of her normal and she cursed Yuri Leclerc for knowing damn well that this wasn’t what the head of House Nuvelle should be bringing herself into.

His hands would be cold, likely, shivering in pre-dawn gloom, in rain and sweat run frigid, and Gilbert would clasp them between his own, shelter them ‘til they’d warmed through.
Gilbert is quite sure he oughtn't think of Lonato like this.

Claude offers Sylvain the opportunity to stay in Almyra until he's fully healed, but Sylvain's convalescence ends up being more politically complicated than Claude initially reveals.
A post-Crimson Flower story in which Sylvain learns a little about Claude, a little about Almyra — and a lot about himself.

As with all deadlifts's fics, I smiled and cried my way through, so deeply caught up in the emotion and story that the outside world ceased to exist. This is an incredibly complex, nuanced and moving story and deserves many re-reads.
