Summary
Wade is contracted to kill Spider-man, but after some surveillance he decides the hero is just too chill to kill. Too sweet to defeat. Too squish to extinguish. Too golden boy to destroy. (Etcetera.)
Somehow, instead of blowing up in his face, it avalanches into a tentative friendship filled with crime-fighting, Netflix bingeing, top notch take-out, city-saving, shenanigans, weird alien symbiotes, and personal growth.
Which is pretty much when Wade knows he’s fucked. But like, maybe in the good way, for once?

Is that Deadpool? Totally awesome! In an ‘oh shit, I hope he’s here for me’ kind of way. Peter rolled his eyes, making his way behind the counter and putting on an apron while the other employees ran outside and (presumably) called the police. Without clocking out. Great! Amateurs. I mean, Jesus H Christ, this is Queens for fucks sake! I mean, don’t take the graveyard shift if you can’t handle the sight of a body. Or multiple.
Peter didn’t respond as he clocked everybody out and himself in before he got in shit, then slowly made his way to the front counter, casting a defeated look at the corpse splayed across it. Deadpool’s grin faltered.
“This your katana?” Peter asked dully although he didn’t need to, gesturing to the katana pierced through the corpse’s mouth and into the counter. Deadpool nodded earnestly, silent for once. “Please collect it.”
“Why can’t you?”
“I’ve lived in New York for my entire life, went through the whole ass public school system, plus university, and I only ever learned three things of value: never go to New Jersey unless you’re on crack, if you ever see a rat, scream at it until you can’t see it anymore - and don’t touch somebody else’s murder weapon.”

Peter’s high is fading into a disgruntled sleepiness. Does Johnny not understand simple math? Peter is a washed-up hero disenchanted by even being a hero by night. He hustles to make it up to communities affected by his past reckless hero-ing. And the rest of the time he’s a washed-up grad student turned line-cook. Smoking weed at the end of long days wondering how long he can keep up. Why would anyone waste their time with him romantically? Even Peter doesn’t like wasting time with himself.
Johnny actually has the gall to turn around and glare at Peter before turning back to his phone.

It hasn’t been an easy adjustment but Bucky is finally starting to feel at home at the Avengers compound, especially with Sam around. But just as he’s starting to feel settled, Yelena shows up unexpectedly and brings with her a new threat that they’ll need to face. Bucky will need to confront his past to protect the ones he loves.
