Summary
The book burnt Arataka's fingers through the leather gloves. As an acolyte of his father's church he got the worst jobs with a front row view of how little it all mattered. Saltville was starving but the Gods did nothing. That's why he stood there now, alone in the woods at the foot of the shadow mountain with a spell book hotter than the bonfire itself.

i had fun reading this and i really wished there were more chapters, because it looked like an old enough fanfic to be completed by now but it hasnt been updated since over a year ago, almost two years ago.
So i might consider writing the rest myself. as a gift, dont know if the creator will like it or recieve it.
