They were the only thing able to prevent his powers from activating accidentally!
Cal wanted to drop the knife, but it was like he had no control over his body, he couldn’t let go of the weapon.
More and more memories flooded his mind, memories of pain and death, yet Cal was unable to do anything to control them, let alone stop them. He could only endure them.----------------------------------------
Padawan Cal Kestis can't control his psychometry powers yet. Luckily his Commander is there for him.

Kix tried to fight the tears that threatened to overcome him. He hadn’t been able to help the kid, to save him.
The medic felt sick at the thought of having to cut this shiny open. It was not the first time Kix would operate on a patient, he did that on a regular basis, being well familiar with scalpels and needles. But he had only done that to help the brother, to try to heal them, to cure them.
But cutting into this lifeless body? Dissecting the kid?
