Reading chap 4: He glanced over at his protege, whose shoulders were hunched and whose head was bowed low. Now that they’d gotten a moment of respite with the passing of danger, Casey’s steadfast focus had faded somewhat, and there was a note of obvious guilt in the way he held himself. Leo had a pretty good feeling he knew what the apology was for. Much to his chagrin, because while he wasn’t happy with Casey for dragging him in here against his orders, he’d sort of thought the kid had learned to be confident in himself and his decisions by now.

What is the eldest willing to do to get it?(Note: This Alternate Universe removes the existence of common cloaking broaches! This gives the Hidden City a more dystopian, sometimes bitter society towards humans. Mutants are more of the bitter ones as they have had a normal life to remember, along with older yokai who can say the same.)

Or, at least, he should be. Instead, he is floating within a colorful vortex that reminds him too much of his own portals. He tries not to think too much about it. But, eventually he is forced to when the vortex spits him out into a world that used to be his home, many, many years ago.
Or; the one where Future!Leo somehow managed to luck out on a one in a million mere millisecond chance of a freak glitch in the space-time continuum that sends him back into the present, where the Invasion has been successfully driven back. And it looks like it was a one-way ticket travel.
