Aron Hill, an army mechanic, goes on indefinite leave after an incident involving her superiors. She buys a small hose at the edge of a quiet suburb. In her spare time, which she now has a lot of, she fixes things for the townsfolk and works on custom weapons to earn a living. One autumn evening, she hears unusual noises from her front yard. The hero shows up at the villain's doorstep one night. They're shivering, bleeding, scared. There's also a slightly dazed look in their eyes-- they were drugged. They look like they were assaulted. Looking up at the villain, swaying slightly as they're close to passing out, they mumble "...didn't know where else to go..." then collapse into the villain's arms.

Summary
It starts with what looks like a failed assassination attempt on David Sarif, when a malfunction causes the VTOL to crash. Malik gets out alive, but both she and the chopper are out of commission when a truck full of augmentations gets stolen. Things go tits-up pretty fast after that, and when Jensen is captured, there is only one person left who could possibly, theoretically help, and that is a skinny nerd with an Attitude.
Frank knows he’s clever and resourceful, but he also knows he’s not in any way a Jensen 2.0. Still, things being as they are, he’s Jensen’s only chance, and for once it’s Frank Pritchard having to play knight in shining armour to save someone’s ass.
