Lewis feels his stomach drop, the nausea of realization churning in his gut.
"You planned this?" Lewis asks in disbelief, a question or conclussion he isn't sure, just that it sounds even more crazy spoken out loudly.
Because no sane omega would willingly go into a heat in public. Far away from their home or any kind of safe place. At a fucking race track with thousands of people. It sounds even more ridiculous, considering the fact Max is unbonded.
Again silence is the answer but this time it is the other way around as Max seems to struggle with his verbal defense, "You did." Lewis says stricken, desperately needing a confirmation for the impending chaos.
"So what?"
OR
Lewis goes to confront Max after the incident during the Hungarian GP but instead of an enlightening friendly conversation he finds the real reason for Max's foul mood.

"Did you even listen? I'm going into rut." he repeats to the younger but Max stays relaxed though he doesn't approach Lewis.
"Yeah, I undetstand. I got it. But where's the problem?"
"Where's the problem? Are you asking me where the fucking problem is? Seriously?" Lewis stands up from his seat, slamming both hands on the table and Max's eyes are wide open in surprise. "I'm going into rut with you right next to me on a god damn plane!" Lewis bellows.
"So what? Where's the problem?"
"Oh my god..." Lewis whines and pinches the bridge of his nose. "You being here. Close to me. That's the problem!"
"That's not a problem. I can help you."
"Help me? You think you can help me? How in god's name do you think you can help me?"
"Let's fuck."

When Lewis first saw the photo he nearly spat his tea across the room. He fully paused his mindless instagram scrolling to sit up on the couch and evaluate the photo. Lewis wasn’t quite sure why he was having such a dramatic reaction to this photo, after all it’s just a photo. But no, it’s not just a photo. It’s a masterpiece. At least it is in Lewis’ mind.
