“So, Rosie.” Alastor straightened himself in his seat, taking his teacup and indulging in a sip. “Now that you’ve heard the tale, I come to you for advice on what to do with our little serpentine king. Please, enlighten me: why is Lucifer Morningstar acting so strangely around me?”
Rosie took a deep breath and set her cup on its saucer. “How’s the tea, darling?” she asked, hands folded on her lap.
Alastor blinked once, then twice. “Why, it’s lovely, as per usual.”
Rosie smiled sweetly. “Good. Not too bitter?”
“Not at all.”
“And how’re the fingers, dear? They taste alright?”
“They’re simply delightful.”
“Is your chair nice and comfortable?”
“The comfiest.”
“You’re all relaxed?”
“I’ve never felt so at home.”
“Lucifer is in love with you.”
Alastor spat out the tea he’d been drinking, which was quickly followed by a round of coughing so harsh you would think he was actively dying.

Alastor has a chat with Rosie regarding Lucifer’s odd behavior.
Rosie finds it all quite amusing.

When Neil was fourteen, his father caught up to them in Seattle and he got separated from Mary. Unfortunately, neither of them escaped unscathed, but they did escape despite all the odds. They manage to reunite at one of their emergency rendezvous and take off running.
That's where their luck ran out though because they only made it to California before Mary's injuries finally bested her. In the end, his mother couldn't go on but she made Neil promise to keep running because one of them had to make it. With no other choice, Neil burned her body, buried her ashes on the beach, and did what he had promised.
Then, impossibly, things went from bad to worse — After a month of just sort of drifting in his grief, Neil found out he was pregnant.

He had pretty clear flashes of memories of some of his time in the mortal world, and many of those involved being rejected. By his first love, by his family… by himself. The more times it happened, the more reactive he got to it.
In some ways, coming to Hell and becoming an icon of desire was something out of his wildest dreams. Careful what you wish for, indeed. No one ever rejected him, not really. They may talk a big game, but he could read body language like nobody's business. They all wanted him. Everybody wanted him.
Everybody… except Husk.

Valentino Velvette and Rosie are side characters. Vox and Val's used to have a situationship but they aren't dating in the story.
