Summary

When the Predacons unleash their wrath upon Starscream, he is saved by the person he least expected, Megatron, who is riddled with guilt and defeat. In a strange turn of events, he offers to let Starscream kill him. Ready to exterminate Megatron, Starscream realizes there is a change within his master (if he can even call him that) and accepts that the past is long gone.
Now it is time to savor what they fought for and finally, work together.

Deadlock took a threatening step forward, and placed his thumb on Ratchet’s intake, silencing him. “I thought I told you not to call me ‘kid’ when we’re being serious.”

Months ago, Ratchet came across an injured Decepticon battalion and against his better judgment, offered them medical aid. That one decision inevitbly changes Ratchet’s life when the leader of the Batllion, Deadlock, falls for him and eventually, those feelings are returned. Months later, toward the conclusion of the war and with Deadlock’s battalion becoming more neutral than Decepticon (no thanks to Ratchet) promises are made. Promises of love and a family. Yet Ratchet is a realist and in his mind, things aren't so simple. Luckily for him…Deadlock is a bit more assertive in their future together.

Toward the end of the war, Starscream is no stranger to pain and abandonment; the fear of being abandoned is something that constantly follows him. When he makes the mistake of breaking old Predacon relics, it is evident he expects Predaking to punish him and cast him aside. Realizing this, Predaking does what he can to make sure Starscreams knows that he is always welcome and that predacon's home is his as well.

At the conclusion of the war Megatron’s mind was wiped and as punishment, he was given to Predaking. Predaking expected a docile, kept Megatron that was meant for him and him alone. None of them expected the fall out that would come when Megatron’s memories returned, and the issues that followed when it was time for their clutch to be born.
