It was a darkness that licked at her heart with dark flames, that ate and ate until she was an empty husk, swollen with lies eaten gluttonously and sunken with an emptiness missing something that could never be given to her.
Perhaps this was why she had been chosen. Not because she was destined to be a hero, but because she was so dark, so broken -- and the spren found that fascinating. Pattern ate and drank of her lies and delighted in the delicious complexities she offered. She was a snack, the perfect snack for a Cryptic, because she was full of terrible inconsistencies and buried things too dark to dig back up.

“Kallus-” Ezra began to shout, but cut himself off. It wouldn’t do to have another officer catch him there. He would literally get himself killed.
Kallus was going to be gone for quite a while and in that quite-a-while Ezra was going to be trapped on his ship.
