"Try me." Despite his words, he's not expecting Jay to really shove him backwards into the freezing cold water. "JAY!"
"You told me to try!" She shouts down, laughing.
"I didn't mean it!! Giiiillll help me," he shouts back, giving pleading eyes to their other captain.
Gill looks at Jay for confirmation. She's laughing so hard she has to hold on to the side.
"Push her in!" Chip shouts.
"Okay!" Gill's tail wags as he throws her into the water. Jay shrieks, landing with a loud splash.

Matt could’ve pinched himself by how in awe he was at the moment. His friends had all gathered in Canada for his birthday. His friends, and, well… him. It felt wrong to minimize whatever the feelings Matt felt for Puffer were. He couldn’t simply place him in the same category as the rest. Not when his cologne makes Matt feel safe and the soft tones he only took with Matt outside of recording sessions lulled him into a sense of security. It’s all so much- but to an outsider Matt would look insane, because Puffer really had done nothing at all.
