Summary
The hotel got worse each step down the hallway. Nicotine stained the walls and ceilings, more smoke than actual color. It was muggy, too, muggy with sweat. And it had a weird smell. Some kind of heady odor that he recognized, but couldn’t quite place. It wafted up from the piles of bedsheets they had to sidestep, tossed outside hotel doors that seemed to all have a do not disturb sign with hearts scribbled on them.
In short, a total shithole.
The search for a drink Cloud and Aerith need to trade for a certain tiara takes longer than expected.

In the time that they have left, Lars steadily gets to know his allies. He learns about Alisa, who means more to him than anything. He learns about Jin, who is lonely and exhausted and so much younger than he seems. He even learns about Hwoarang, a stubborn remnant of Jin’s past who just might also be his future.
And then there’s Lee. Lars already knows that he’s a lost cause, but that doesn’t stop him from looking closer, anyway.

Zuko doesn’t know how Azula's doctors already seem to understand what their childhoods were like, and how they seem so prepared to house and treat a dangerous firebender. He doesn’t know why they aren’t afraid of him or her, why they even agreed to come here. He doesn’t understand how Uncle even knew who to contact for help, and how he set everything up so quickly.
Uncle looks resigned, when he’s asked about it, which makes Zuko nervous.
“These were not quickly made arrangements,” he admits. “I spent a great deal of time when I was traveling with the White Lotus looking into how one could best help a war child who had been so indoctrinated and hurt. I wrote to quite a few people, and have been in contact with the doctors treating Azula for some time.”
Zuko stares back at Uncle in confusion.
“I don’t understand. You knew she would go mad?”
Uncle sighs. He puts his tea down on the table between them, and looks Zuko in the eye as he answers.
“No, Fire Lord Zuko. These arrangements were not made for her. They were made for you.”

Couldn't stop thinking about how Iroh must have been planning on having to "deal with" Zuko after the war.
