Remy, aka Sleep, really hates his job. Every time he can't make Thomas catch some Zs, he's the villain. Even when literally all the other Sides are working against him.
Virgil has his anxiety attacks, and it takes Remy hours to calm him down.
Logan has friends, work, and sleep--guess which one he decides is unnecessary?
Patton's usually good with this stuff, but sometimes even the Pop gets upset.
Roman has those stupid creative binges, and he's the absolute worst when he's tired.
And Deceit? Well, if Deceit can't sleep, no one can.
Remy's only helping them out for his job, of course. He doesn't actually care about their stupid emotional problems. And there's no way they'd care about him, anyway.
Or: Five times Remy helped the Sides sleep and one time they returned the favor.

Logan hits himself when he gets things wrong. Sometimes he punches a wall, or tugs his hair, or something that would cause just enough pain to distract him from his yucky-icky emotions. Until the 'infinitesimal' mistake.
That mistake caused an experiment: Did physical pain and emotional pain have a connection? Logan finds out, then things go horribly wrong.

Cold and darkness are both, arguably, Virgil's aesthetic, but in practice they're nightmarish. He wasn't able to stretch his legs, elbows pressed up against the sides and knees only able to bend so far before the walls stopped them, and the grooves where the shelves were supposed to be bit into his back and sides. After a while he stopped crying and focused on shrinking into himself to hoard the warmth his body produced, but... he'd been in the freezer for such a long time. There wasn't much warmth left.
His tears went cold, and his breath stopped puffing. His shivers got weaker and weaker. Sleep suddenly seemed like a good idea. If he was asleep, he didn't have to feel cold, and maybe when he woke up he'd be somewhere else. Maybe he'd just die and wake up in his bed and be warm.
Now he is somewhere else, but he's like seventy percent sure it's a dream. Things like this never happen to him; probably he's just dying, and his mind has thrown up a lovely hallucination to make things easier for him.
Thank you, mind. That's sweet of you. Cool change from making me feel like the world is constantly ending.

Chad whispered something to the crew around him, who all nodded furiously and grabbed their own table, a measly ten feet away from Patton’s. They had pulled out their phones, chuckling, and watching with rapt attention as Chad finally approached his date.
“So, you actually showed up?” Chad asked, not bothering to sit down. When standing, he had a good two inches on Patton, but from here he seemed to tower over the smaller boy.
“Of course I did,” Patton beamed in response, all but yelling.
Or; Patton gets asked out on a fake date, and it takes him a while to realize that he is being made fun of.
