Summary
Pomni has never been a fan of Caine. He's loud, overbearing, oblivious to the pain his torturous adventures caused, and the overall cause of Pomni's pain and suffering in the virtual world. Only four adventures in, and she has enough trauma to last a lifetime.
Caine is an AI, after all. Pomni doesn't think he even cares about anything other than his adventures.
And that made it all the more shocking that when an escaped Abstraction attempts to attack Pomni, she finds herself being pushed out of the way by the dreaded ringmaster himself, taking the hit for her as he tells her to run.
She soon realizes that there's more to Caine than she thought.

It’s weird, like getting goosebumps on your skin but instead of feeling it outside of your body it flows within, throughout your entire nervous system. Shocking you to your very core. Or maybe something closer to a static shock, when you drag your feet on the carpet and then touch a door handle. That might be closer, but it doesn’t describe the shiver that sends down his spine. Prickling at the bone as if trying to force itself into its marrow.

Summary
Former Addison Spamton G. Spamton has woken up in Castle Town after being defeated as Spamton NEO. Now having resigned himself to helping the Lightners cut their own strings, he tries to cope with this newfound freedom and everything it includes as he waits for their return. Batman is insulted during a Justice League mission, which wouldn't be a problem except Nightwing is there to hear it. The other League members don't know this is a problem because they have no idea Batman has kids, much less that Nightwing is one of them. Bruce decides to do the only reasonable thing: go on vacation. His children probably won't burn down anything too important.

It’d barely been 30 minutes since they’d come to a decision. Jornir had left with Skrimm and Queenie after seeing something in his vision that he hadn’t elaborated on. Whatever it’d been, it had urged him to join them - though he’d been insistent on Taishen and especially Barnabos staying behind. And Taishen was more than alright with that. He was no medicine man like Jornir was, but he at least wanted to stick around to make sure that Barnabos was alright.
