Meeting the Chain, but in chronological order by how the games were released! Inspired by a Tumblr post (how do I link things on this site?) that I could not get to leave me alone, so here we are. (Will not be including the Master Door, despite it being the best thing I have seen come out of the insanity of Linked Universe Tumblr.)

Link had no idea where he was. Which is usually normal for him, except for the fact that he had been sucked through a creepy portal.
Link was already having a bad day, what with his half-sister's festival he refused to go to and his business partner deciding now was a good time to visit Lorule (which meant he gets to run the shop that he has no clue how to do!). The kid in green on his doorstep did not improve his day, unfortunately.

Summary
Clay receives a hostage note from his long-lost brother Floyd and sets out to rescue him. Except, it turns out getting him out of Mount Rageous is the easy part. Breaking the diamond bottle to free him properly requires Clay to face brothers and memories he's spent twenty years trying to prove he hasn't needed, and finally track down a tribe of trolls that his community had written off as dead.

Link shivered beneath a blanket, arms huddled in close to this chest. He was half sure he was dreaming. His head ached, heavy like an overstuffed turkey. The green glow did not help. Hylian faces looked alien in this light, escaping the grasp of familiarity. He watched them for a moment longer, hoping the old man would be there among them. Then, self-pitying in his failure to find him, he let his head loll back against the pillow with a groan.
The pillow that shifted beneath him, to his mild alarm. A rumble of laughter met his ears, vibrating against his skin.
“Had a good nap?” came the old man’s voice, soft and amused.
Oh. There he was.

I go up the the bord we came through and pull on it. It doesn’t move. Again. It’s not moving. I let out a harsh sigh as I push harder.
My chest tightens.
“Aiden, Aiden, it’s not coming off!” I said, panic raising in my voice as I tried to jam my fingers into the edge. “What?- ash calm down your just stressing out, here I got it..” he mumbled getting up, carful to not bang his head one the top.
He pushed his palms against the steps. It doesn’t move. He pauses for a second before trying again.
“Oh my god” I mumble closing my eyes. My breath hitches. “Take a breath ash,” he said but there’s a certain edge to his voice now.
“I’m sure it’s just uh, snug. Just give me a second-“ he says digging in his pocket. He pulls out his pocket knife, shoving the blade into the crack. He grits his teeth and jerks it sideways, the wood groaning under the pressure.
“SNAP!”
Aiden pulls down the knife slowly….but just the handle. We both look up and see the blade wedged between the stairs,useless.We’re stuck.
