Summary
Working in the shadows suited Megumi. Others were praised for smooth sailing, and while Megumi knew it was his groundwork that kept the ship floating, he didn’t crave the spotlight. Being there meant you had to talk about sports with drab coworkers. Perhaps he should envy men like his boss, who grasped the art of speaking about nonsense and making it sound as if it mattered.
Truth to be told, however, he couldn’t care less about Ryomen Sukuna. So far, that hadn’t caused him any problems, but sooner or later, it would. He could feel it in his gut, and Megumi’s gut feeling had always been proven right. For once, he wished to be wrong. He quite liked this job.

Yuji slid his thumb under Choso’s lip. Warm, slow breaths spilled over the digit. Slowly, he stroked the pad of his thumb over Choso’s gums, as if counting his teeth. Feeling every little rise and dip, and Choso did nothing to move away from the touch. His lip pushed upwards the further back Yuji went. Soon, he spotted the hole left after the missing tooth. Choso’s warm breaths spilled faster over his hand, making something warm and sticky snake into Yuji’s guts.
