Summary
Both fresh off of break-ups with their respective boyfriends, David and Patrick fly solo on what were supposed to be couples vacations to the Maldives. When a paddle boarding incident and an aggressive telescope lead to a meet-cute/meet-ugly, David and Patrick decide to spend some of their vacation time together. The thing is, Patrick is a professional baseball player and David is an interior designer to the stars with his own HGTV show, but neither know who the other is. Both are thrilled to finally have met a regular guy, so they each hide their celebrity.

David's eyes are wide when they briefly meet his. "I can't ask P— I can't just use store supplies for personal use, Alexis!"
Patrick wonders if David realizes that he used the printer for his mood board for Jocelyn's shower, or that he takes pens home all the time. Hell, that he thinks he can just damage out a eucalyptus eye serum and ask Patrick to gently apply it to his face…
He shuts down the memory.
But what makes this different? That they're exes (god, it still stings) now and this is for a singles event?
"No worries," Patrick forces himself to say, keeping his voice carefully easy. "It's just a stamp, David."
But before he leaves for the night, Patrick counts the stamps on the sheet in his desk, because he's a masochist, apparently.

It’s not like David was trying to hide it. The truth of the matter is, he doesn’t wear skirts all that often, doesn’t get the urge all that often, and Patrick just hasn’t known him all that long. A year, Patrick’s known him a year, and David’s wardrobe is extensive; he really wasn’t trying to hide it.
