Very.
A few things, such as the various void/fallingstar creatures don't exist in this AU, and the while the stars do determine the fate of others, The stars and moon are not the only source of magic in this world.
The Darkness of The Night Sky is too.
So yeah, lore is played around with, used as a rough guideline, or just thrown out the window as I see fit. Which is generally the case with my AU's anyway lol.

Follows Troupe Master Grimm and a Scarlet Changeling known as Hearth. After Hearth is kicked out from the Badlands Hive by Queen Chrysalis, she joins The Nightmare King as a Mothling, a special class of Scarlet Changeling that answer directly to Grimm.
Stories are mostly slice of life, usually with a ton of worldbuilding, and whatever I feel like I want to share.

Summary
An AU. The Radiance once had a duty to fulfil as god of dreams, as did Nightmare King Grimm. In the wake of the infection and The Radiance's sealing within The Hollow Knight, Grimm is forced to diminish his power and create The Ritual to sustain the Nightmare Realm.
Dragoon is a Soul Bearer, destined to travel to long dead lands and restore to habitable levels, her sprirted nature catches Grimm's attention and he asks her to aid in The Ritual by bearing the next Grimmchild.

Summary
A Henry Stickmin AU where the Right Hand Man remembers the previous timelines instead of Henry. Also a Copperright AU because the ship kind of just happened.
For poor Right, the timeline begins a decade before Completing the Mission, during Terrence Suave's time as Leader of the Toppats, and ends when Right dies during the events of CtM, when Henry triggers a fail that kills him, or when a CtM Ending is reached.
When Right is sent back in time, he not only keeps his memories, but is burdened with the knowledge of how things play out after his death or the results of an Ending. he has a book that retains its contents across timelines that he uses to write note in.
