There were nightmares the first night, but that was to be expected, and Aziraphale stayed close with him through it, holding Crowley and comforting him until it passed.
The next few nights had fears of the nightmares returning, which also was expected, and Aziraphale stayed up with him through it, finding distractions on television or interesting books to read aloud.
What Aziraphale had not expected was Crowley’s new fear of going outside.
The sky was too big, Crowley kept saying. He no longer wanted to see the sky...
