Ironically, nobody actually dies in this story. Except an original character, and Euron. And of course, those that died before the story started.

She realizes that letting the dragon wake is easy, holding it back and doing the right thing demands more strength and produces a higher reward.
After all, there will be a warm day on the Lands of Always Winter before R'Hllor lets one of his champions succumb to the power of the Great Other.

I was gutted by season 8 of Game of Thrones. I decided to write a fanfic about it, imagining if Daenerys had a vision about all that was to come. I chose her because I feel like, as badly wrecked as other characters were in S8, she really got it the worst and had the most losses. And she had such a dream before and Daenys Targaryen dreamed of the Doom of Valyria. This is mostly her POV, a few others. I also added things here and there because I would have liked to see the scenes (like why did Arya and Daenerys not have one conversation? I was annoyed by that and so they will meet in this fic). Mostly show canon unless additional info or characters are needed. Starts at the beginning of S7, some scenes start out like the ones in the show but then change, because if Dany knows from her dream that some act will bring disaster she’ll do something else. Feedback is deeply appreciated and more than welcome. Please be as gentle as you can! If you hate Daenerys you will not like this story. But I’m trying to be gentle with all the characters. Well, most of them. Trying to ascribe good motives as much as possible. I do not own these characters or story. Everything here belongs to George R.R. Martin, D.B. Weiss, David Benioff, HBO.

Daenerys will take control of the situation in Winterfell and play the game of thrones (until she can finally break the wheel). Dany and Jon will not stay silent when confronted with the disdain, racism, xenophobia and hatred The North, their Lords and some of the Starks will show her and her people. Jon's parentage reveal will go down very differently. Jon's secret will stop being a secret once several people know it. It will become knowledge and knowledge is power. They'll use that to their advantage. Dany is a smart, cunning, and capable Queen. She won't let Sansa Stark and her pawns use her love for Jon and his parentage to undermine her and Jon will be by her side. She will prove to them all how she has survived for so long, amassed so much power, and why she deserves to be Queen even without a cock. And it's not because of her beauty, but her intellect. They will learn to respect her, one way or another. She is a Dragon and if needed she will remind them all with Fire & Blood. Jon will also learn what being a Dragon means and will behave accordingly. They will all learn the meaning of the phrase: "Dragons answer to neither gods nor men."

Summary
This is a crackfic, just having some fun! The idea was born mainly from a really interesting rant I saw online that was defending Sansa, saying that if Daenerys had lived Sansa’s life...well, you can imagine the rest.
And I’ve always liked the ‘Vice Versa’ trope; Freaky Friday, the Change-Up, etc.
I also love time travel fics.
So I thought, why not go all the way back to S1 and have Dany and Sansa switch bodies?
It’s only fun (for me) if they actually remember everything.I may not even finish it, it might be the dumbest idea ever, but I thought it would be fun.
If I do finish it, it’s another Jonerys endgame, tho not until Dany gets her own body back.
Might do Theonsa too but I’m not tagging it yet because I have zero faith in my ability to write Sansa positively and I don’t want to draw in Theonsa shippers with a story that might end up being anti-Sansa.That said, if you happen to be a Sansa Stan and have ideas for how to portray her better, I’m open to it.
I am extremely new to writing, so constructive criticism is very welcome.
All characters and places and primary storylines belong to George RR Martin and D&D.
