It is said in the days after Paul Atreides was stolen away from Caladan that Duke Leto Atreides and the Lady Jessica bewailed that the Emperor had ever requested those of the Landsraad, all of the Great Houses, Major and Minor, to attend him at Kaitain, for it was there that Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen first saw their son and connived to have him. The Harkonnen's plan bore fruit three years later, when, after celebrations for Paul Atreides's coming of age, the heir to the storied and honorable House was kidnapped and brought to Giedi Prime, whereupon the na-baron declared him his husband and mate.

Omegaverse AU. Plans within plans are destroyed when alpha Feyd kidnaps omega Paul with the intention of making him his husband. With a child's forthrightness, her son shook his head, his dark curls bouncing, and replied, "No, Mother. I would like to have a picnic by myself."
"Oh! I see!" She was unexpectedly stung by this small rejection. Her son was not too old to ask to be carried here and there, or to be tucked into bed, but lately he had become more independent in other ways. This was clearly one such way. "Yes, that can be arranged."

They were in the palace gardens. Paul sat at a table with a Cheops board. He seemed to be playing against himself, testing out strategies. His chin rested on his palm. His lashes were long and dark.
Feyd replied, "Why wouldn't I be? Why would you choose one of the Landsraad's spawn?"
"Why indeed? But who says that I want to wed the heir of a House Major? I'll inherit my father's duchy—that will be enough to rule, don't you think? Perhaps I'll look at the men in the Houses Minor."
"What," said Feyd.
