Summary
Sonic, hero of Mobius from a young age, knew what hibernation was. He’d heard of it, he’d seen Amy do it every once in a while, but he’d never experienced it himself. There was just never any time. Never a moment where he felt safe enough. What if Eggman attacked, and everyone needed him? There was too much to worry about and too much for him to do to take so much time off being vulnerable and useless.
Or, Sonic hibernates for the first time, and Shadow does a not-so-great job of keeping calm.

Having never been told that Mr. Chen of Noodle House fame was someone that he should distrust, Kai accepts the live-in position on Chen's private island, completely unaware that he is walking into trap designed to twist hearts and minds.
What if Chen had been a little more proactive before the Tournament of Elements? He is a cult leader after all, and cults have a way of sucking people in.

The first thing Kai noticed as he stirred from his sleep(was it sleep? He didn’t remember going to bed) was that his bed was cold and kinda pokey.
The second thing he noticed were the weighted warm and cool spots on his chest.
The third thing he noticed was the faint sound of wind…. which was weird because on the Bounty it was usually a lot louder…. same at Yang’s Temple.
Blearily, he opened his eyes…. but instead of finding a ceiling he instead saw the open sky.
Wait, what?

What if Kai was the green ninja? What if he was responsible? What if their parents abandoned Kai and Nya when they were even younger? What if Kai had to be the bigger person? What if he had to protect his sister? What if he had to start working at a young age?
Well. He did. Responsible, patient, calm, collected. Warm, kind, sweet. How Kai should have been since he took care of his little sister since they were children. Nya is hot-headed and fiery. Kai is the only thing she has left and she will not let some skeleton guys take him away from her.
