Prince Arthur is a werwulf—the one thing Camelot hates more than sorcerers. He was bitten back when he was 19, and he vividly remembers spending his first full moon running through the forest, killing every animal in sight.
Nowadays, Arthur hides away on full moons. There's a corridor in the dungeons, with many cells that have certainly seen better days. Arthur spends the whole night locked and shackled in a cell at the end of the corridor, praying to any god that will listen that no one hears his snarls.
He's been lucky these past few years. Very, very lucky.
Unfortunately, it seems his luck has run out.

Merlin had always suspected that there was something Arthur wasn't telling him. Not that he can complain, seeing as he is keeping a few secrets of his own, but they've been lovers for years now, and really, someone had to slip up sooner or later.
He's still not sure how they ended up chained up in some sort of cell with his magic suppressed. In any case, he's starting to wish he had his magic, because it's a full moon out tonight and Arthur is transforming into a werwulf in front of his very eyes.
And Merlin has nowhere to run.

Sunlight hits just right on the golden bangs falling into blue eyes. His lips have that smug quirk Merlin so hates. In a low voice, he asks, “Does that mean you’ll date exclusively me?”
That snaps Merlin right out of it. “What?”
Arthur nods to his shirt, making him look down.
And printed there, in big, black letters is, ‘lol ur not arthur pendragon’.
“Oh my god.” Merlin stares at the text in horror. This is a nightmare, a disaster, a fucking catastrophe. Absolute worst thing to happen to him in his entire life. Pendragon must think Merlin is some obsessed megafan, interested in him.
Side note: Gwaine Orkney is a dead, dead man.

It takes at least a full year after the Fourth Shinobi War for Naruto's body to finally cease the unadulterated fight or flight response. It takes another six months for his body to fully slow down and then for his hormones and biology or something—someone in the Academy explained once, Naruto is sure—to kick in and do its work. And then, finally, yet another full month before he notices anything at all.
In the height of rebuilding, Sasuke and Naruto find themselves moving to a new rhythm, building a home together, and suffering greatly from hormones.

Their love language is assholery. Incredibly hot and despite the appearances, actually a pretty feels-good fic. Great tension, excellently paced.
(Side-note: I feel like there used to be more of this type of romantic dynamic some years ago, where you got to delight in your OTP pissing each other off on purpose. Maybe that's just my Merthur days talking (?). In any case, I'm eternally craving more of that)
