Summary
It was a strange nightmare if so, and stranger the longer it went on for. He ate and slept, his body so exhausted from all that had come before that he nearly collapsed. He had to dress, to piss, to scrub sweat from his skin, to clean the pus and wrap the blisters on his feet from so many consecutive hours spent standing in the throne room. He went through the motions and kept wondering when it would end. Was he dying? Was this what it was like? Did the gods make a man relive his life from a certain point, only slightly askew of what it had been before? It felt real, but who was to say? Sometimes Jaime looked at his right hand and flexed his fingers, but found that he still couldn't feel them. As if it was someone else's hand. The other Jaime's hand. Even if it looked like his, it had to be someone else's, didn't it? A dream. A memory.
(Or: a time-travel do-over fix-it fic, but mostly it's just Jaime trying to un-fuck his life.)

Summary
“Spit in his food,” she had overheard Gunther beseeching Pepper not three hours later, after Jane had finished seeing to Derek’s horse and given considerable thought to challenging him to a match for the sake of her much-wounded dignity. It was only her honest promise to Sir Theodore that she would not make trouble that held her back.
“Gunther!” Pepper snapped, looking like she was giving serious consideration towards smacking him with her spoon. “Don’t be ridiculous! That would spoil his meal.”
“I doubt he’d even notice,” Jane found herself muttering, while she most certainly did not steal a leftover half loaf of bread and hide in the kitchen corner to nurse her wounded pride.

Summary
He doesn’t want to miss anything from the Realm.
They fought tooth and nail to get back here, after all. He can still remember the rush he’d felt when the light had swallowed them up, and they’d opened their eyes to find themselves strapped back into that same old amusement park ride. Dressed in their old clothes, in their old bodies. He hadn’t realized how much his time in the Realm had changed him physically. The ‘him’ he’d come back to had been a couple inches shorter, a weedy kid who hadn’t had the time to build up any muscles from lugging twenty-plus pounds of armour and a magical shield across a seemingly-infinite stretch of hostile terrain day after day.
