“Why not?” Xue Yang asked, an angry fire in his eyes. “We could use it. Show everyone that their beloved Liangfang-zun is nothing more than—”
Gripping Xue Yang’s wrist Mo Xuanyu repeated, “Leave it. Let him wonder why we took the other things but not that.”
Xue Yang scowled at the curtain which concealed one of Jin Guangyao’s biggest secrets and sighed. “Fine. But I want the Patriarch’s sword.”
Or: In one world Mo Xuanyu is banished from the Jin sect and later dies to revive the Yiling Patriarch. In another...he and Xue Yang unionize against Jin Guangyao, cause more problems than they should be able to, fix issues, make alliances and enemies, and compile the biggest grievance against Jin Guangyao as they possibly can. And they have no idea what they're doing.
