Summary
After the barrier shattered, monsterkind was granted full rights on the surface—but decades of isolation made monster-human relations complicated. Misunderstandings run deep. To combat prejudice and promote peaceful integration, a media-backed government program launches a hybrid initiative:
“Living Compatibility Trials” — a televised social experiment where randomly-paired humans and monsters cohabitate for 90 days, with full documentation (and viewer votes) to study emotional/social compatibility, challenge stereotypes, and promote interspecies unity.
Participants get a generous stipend, housing, and an out-clause after the first 30 days. The catch? Everything is filmed. Every interaction becomes public.
