“He’s Blackbeard?” she asked.
“He’s Blackbeard,” Doug confirmed.

A furious Blackbeard turns up at the Bonnets' door, intent on showing Stede exactly whose wrath he's incurred. Events do not unfold accordingly.

Slowly, a theory began to form in Ed's mind. If Mary had replaced Stede when he was away sailing, and then Stede had inconveniently reappeared... The solution was obvious. Really, Ed should have seen it before he even arrived. Afterall, he had nearly done the same thing himself. What really are the odds that a person would be mauled by a jungle cat, hit by a carriage, and struck by a piano all on the same day?
So yes. Mary killed Stede, and now Ed was in the uncomfortable position of having to avenge that death himself.
He can't think of any other option. He can't just let Mary walk away from this. Stede had come home for her. He had abandoned the sea - abandoned him - for her. Sure, this house has lots of other nice things in it, like paintings and dishes and silks, but they had those on the ship. No, Stede had come back to Mary, and she had killed him for it.
And as Stede's former co-captain, Ed has an obligation to murder her in return.
Or, Ed hears that Stede Bonnet is dead and decides to offer his condolences to the Widow Bonnet. If only Ed knew that Stede was still alive, and Mary knew that Ed was the notorious pirate Blackbeard.

Summary
Madara closes his eyes on the battlefield with the remnants of his dead dream around him to greet the afterlife and wakes up nearly ninety years before, with an odd gift from on high to try and guide him into fixing his life. Unlike some, he doesn't see this as a second chance to fix his wrongs- just as torture keeping him from the death he wanted. The best thing he can do, he thinks, is remove himself and let Hashirama continue like he had the first time.
To Hashirama, it quickly becomes apparent that there is something very, very wrong with his best friend, and he doesn't know if he can find out what in time to help- if Madara even wants to be helped.
It could be his second chance, to rebuild his family and find happiness, if Madara would allow himself to have it.

In a world where Bilbo has already lived his life through once before, he must decide how to navigate the quest, from trying to keep his friends safe to trying to alter the course of the future to trying to manage his once-again blossoming feelings for a certain dwarf (who unfortunately no longer remembers a time when he didn't completely loathe Bilbo).

Stede and Ed "Blackbeard" Teach have been fighting ever since Stede got back to sea, which would be fine and not totally unexpected after the "breakup", except their fighting now involves full-blown naval battles and their respective crews are thoroughly sick of it.
Naturally, the only solution is to maroon the two of them on a desert island until they work it out or kill each other. Whichever comes first.
