I read the Witcher books, and Geralt is a sensitive boi about the whole mutant thing. Multiple times he mutters to himself about how THoSe PeoPLE don't think he has FeElings.
So I just really think he'd be charmed as hell by Netflix Jaskier. It would be big 'I've had him for a day and a half and if anything happened to him I'd kill everyone in this tavern and then myself' energy.
So I imagined what would happen if Book Geralt met Netflix Jaskier that day at that tavern in Posada. (Spoiler he loves him.)

Summary
Have you ever done something you knew was just a bad idea? Penelope White, Nell to anyone who knew her, was the person that showed up to keep that bad idea from killing you...right up until her own bad idea did something worse. Now she's stuck in a world that isn't her own, where monsters are real, technology isn't, and a very cranky man with the most gorgeous everything she's ever seen is her only chance to survive. What could possibly go wrong? Everything, everything could go wrong, but maybe that isn't such a bad thing.
Update Note as of 05/13/2026 - I've edited down and condensed a lot of the smaller chapters. This will make the comments posted before the above date make basically no sense in the context of the chapter they were posted on, but it was better for the story over all.

Summary
Juliana Alfreda Pankratz, Viscountess of Lettenhove, only daughter of Earl Beaumont Dustin Pankratz and Countess Clemence Aura Pankratz is set to be married to Prince Radovid V when she returns from Oxenfurt University. They, of course, didn’t say she had to come straight back so, you know, she doesn’t.
This leads her to meet Geralt and you know the rest. They adventure together, get into fights on mountains, and make up in forests.
Then Nilfgaard invades Cintria because Emhyr var Emreis wants to marry his pre-teen daughter and Geralt raises an army of witchers to take over the north. Because of course that would be a reasonable response, so now she has to help them navigate the new world they've thrown themselves into.

"Every day, he sought to do the exact opposite of all the things Geralt had come to hate about him. He tried never to speak unless spoken to. He kept his head down. He never laughed too loud or offered to sing. He never asked the other Witchers to tell him stories about their travels and adventures. He made himself small, kept his voice low. He folded himself into the shadows of Kaer Morhen. Everything in his life had been a dream until Geralt made him wake up. He should be grateful. He might have gone on being a burden for the rest of his life. At least now he had a chance to still be something to Geralt, even if it was only a functional role. But it was better than an entire life without him - especially since he had discovered fae blood ran through his veins. He had many, many years ahead of him. The idea of having to live out the rest of his existence scorned by Geralt was unbearable. So, he did what he had to do..."
Jaskier becomes convinced that working himself to death is the only way to get Geralt's approval, until Geralt begins to notice that something is wrong...
