[From Tumblr]: Good cop bad cop but Jim Gordon (the good cop) is passed out from blood loss and exhaustion and Batman (the obvious bad cop) bundles everyone involved (including his kids) into a corner booth at a 24 hour diner and proceeds to interrogate the suspect over shitty diner coffee and the sounds of his kids force feeding Commissioner Gordon apple pie and french fries.
It's the most intimidating interrogation that has ever taken place in Gotham.
(or, the one where May’s Diner has seen everything Gotham has to offer at night. almost everything, at least)

Bruce Wayne is a large man- thats evident even when sitting in a tiny cell. Broad shouldered, with a sharp jaw. Even sharper eyes, that follow every movement as Clark settles in the chair and sifts through a few papers. If Clark focuses his senses, he can tell many more things about Bruce- that his body is covered in a litter of scars, both large and small. That his heartbeat is still steady and even, focused but calm. If he uses his x-ray vision, he can tell that its been probably seven hours since Bruce has eaten, but of course Clark doesn’t do that. That would be weird.
And a thing Clark definitely doesn’t notice about Bruce Wayne is how handsome he is. If it weren’t for the Arkham jumpsuit, the ear-length shaggy hair, and the light coat of stubble, you could still imagine him as the charming Gotham rich boy he was meant to be.
But he isn’t. He’s not Bruce Wayne, billionaire orphan anymore. Now, he’s Bruce Wayne, mass murderer, with thirty-six known victims.

This was Bruce grappling up to her thirtieth story Metropolis apartment, stowing the Batsuit in the bathroom, and watching StarTrek with her. This was her driving to the manor when she couldn't sleep, only to find she could do it there.
This was having a friend.
Or: Despite the long shadow Batman casts and the demands of being one of the youngest Pulitzer winners ever, Bruce and Lois manage to steady each other, in the way that only friends can. Also, there's a case they need to solve.

But I doubt even Ms. Lane would be so heartless as to leave her oldest and dearest friend to my hospitality.” Dallas forces the man’s chin up, and Clark finds himself staring into the eyes of a trembling and bloodied Bruce Wayne.
Well damn. Hopefully Lois can get Batman on the line to get them out of this dumpster fire.
Or: Clark hasn't been able to make heads or tails of Bruce Wayne for months, but when they're both kidnapped by people trying to extort Lois, he's going to have find some common ground fast. Weird how Bruce reminds him of his colleague Batman, who Clark is pretty sure is terrified of him, but that's probably not important.
