There had been no Seeing Stone on Tython that Grogu could use to call for a Jedi. They had survived Gideon's light cruiser mostly by luck. And now Din Djarin is trapped between trying to resume his old life with Grogu in tow or facing what wielding the Darksaber truly means for him and his people. Mostly he just wants a nap.
Luke Skywalker is looking for Jedi artifacts he can use to help build a curriculum for the school he seeks to create. Not that he knows where it will be. Or how to find pupils. But then he runs into a shiny stranger whose beskar armor makes him a null space in the Force. And he doesn't know who Luke is.
Intrigued (and in need of parts to repair his ship), he Skywalkers his way into tagging along on the latest bounty.

Obi-Wan blinks at him several times, his tea cup half-raised to his mouth. It’s the only indication Anakin has that he’s heard Anakin’s confession for five whole seconds before Obi-Wan huffs out a laugh and puts the cup back down on the table.
“Anakin, you do know that I almost left the Order to be with Satine, right?” Obi-Wan says, and everything Anakin ever knew about his Master falls apart.
aka, in an AU where Anakin is a slightly more rational being and the only thing "wrong" in the universe is his marriage, he finally gets the courage to tell Obi-Wan about it and gets a response he doesn't quite expect.

Summary
The Jedi are telepaths. It's normal for them to make long-lasting mental bonds with friends and family, but Obi-Wan has always been extra sensitive. During their fight on Mustafar, when Anakin rips out their bond, thick as an artery and a decade strong- it's too much. That, on top of the deaths of all the Jedi on the heels of Order 66, causes Obi-Wan to begin to lose his memories, and, eventually, his life.
After delivering Luke to Owen and Beru, Obi-Wan is ready to see his family again. He doesn't mind dying, and has made his peace with it. But Beru offers him a place to stay, until the end comes- in her words, no one should die alone.
This was written as a precursor to a time-travel fic, so he doesn't actually die. But it's essentially a death fic. Proceed with caution.

Grappling with the death of his Master and the young boy he'd promised to raise, he didn't have much time to reflect on it. If he fought hard against the rising darkness, he could beat it back and only use the light. If he closed his eyes in front of the mirror, he didn't have to see their new yellow color. If he just ignored it, it would all go away.
Right?(Obi-Wan kills Maul on Naboo. This changes everything and nothing.)
