Most wizards, Prompto knows, are not the sort to tie you up in a sentient wardrobe and ruin your life just because they need a second pair of hands. Most wizards use the newspaper. Most wizards call on the king in the Citadel for one of the pages in training to serve as an apprentice, or pick an orphan off the street--A proper orphan, like Prompto's friend Noct, who he's ninety percent sure is a lost prince in disguise--or a seventh son of a seventh son. Most wizards have the common sense they were born with.

“Well, guess what?” Noctis had dropped his knees slightly. And with all the fury of a burning star, he slammed his fist up into the Crownsguard’s jaw in a brutal uppercut before either of them had time to blink. Prompto was pretty sure there was a kungfu movie with a similar title. Fist of the — South? West? — Star or something.
“Twinkle twinkle, motherfucker.”
The Hexatheon were powerful gods, anyone would agree; legends and myths were passed through the generations, some written in dusty old texts or whispered to young ears at bedtime. Others existed out of the circle, obscure as they were considering the fervor given to the big Six, but they still existed.
For example, though Bahamut remained their patron god, the Lucians often pay homage to a certain Astral: Noctis, the Stellarian, the Wish Maker. And if the legends were true, Prompto figured it was worth a shot.
He just didn't expect the Astral himself to literally drop into his arms like a freakin’ falling star.

Suddenly nervous, Shuri did the first thing she could think of and punched Namor right in his stupidly handsome face.

Plagued by the ghost of her long-dead cousin, Shuri does the sensible thing and goes along with his harebrained scheme to seduce Namor and unceremoniously dump the man. It’s not exactly the type of revenge she would have thought of, but if it gives her an excuse to see him, well, it can’t be all that bad, can it?

It’s almost hilariously ironic that Wayne is saying this here, in Clark’s place of employment, where Clark works ten-hour shifts to earn enough tip money to pay rent on a one-bedroom apartment.
“He’s gotta live somewhere,” Clark points out.
Or: Clark meets Bruce, and then Superman meets Bruce Wayne. Neither is entirely fooled.

He briefly considers the benefits of Dick’s assumption. For one, his sudden disappearances, as well as Batman’s all-too-frequent appearances, can be explained by his fictional romance with the Dark Knight. All things considered, Bruce goes by “You just found out?”, and adds a smug raised eyebrow for good measure.
“Wow,” Dick’s eyes gleam in excitement, and Bruce wonders what part of that knowledge warrants that giddy reaction. “With Batman? Really? That is wicked cool.”
